Growing Dwarf Cannas ?

Will my Cannas grow well in the Yorkshire region of the UK ?

Growing Dwarf Cannas ?
Will they flower is the question, best force them under glass

for as long as possible, they can be reluctant in my area -

the south west!
Reply:They need full sun and lots of warm weather. If I remember right, you are a bit short on both. You could try one and see.
Reply:Cannas are surprisingly tough. They are meant to be planted in full sun and plenty of rich soil in moisture.l have planted them in opposite conditions dry shady and poor soil and they grew to 90% of their ideal conditions.Cover in winter with mulch if nervous
Reply:probably not. the summers are too cold for flowers. they need 80s and 90s as well as sun light every day as well as rain every day. in the south it is sunny and has frequent thunder storms every day. also cannas need well drainage.

you may be able to grow them for just leaves, but flkowers will not be common unless you have a dry summer.
