Shoud i water my canna plants daily/100dg days?
they are pretty good in hot weather, but being underwatered causes the leaves to fade and not have such rich color and variegation....
Reply:I water mine daily and they are growing nicely.
Reply:in that sort of heat every dat probably won't hurt them - but try to give them lots of water so that it drains through the soil and encourages deep roots.





Also don't water the leaves as they'll burn in the sun.

Reply:Because canna gets so tall it needs a good, firm root system that goes relatively deep into the soil.





Watering them daily won't hurt the appearance of the plant but it will make the roots satisfied with shallow water. As a result they won't go very deep, and on a windy day the plants will be more likely to fall down.





Better to water them slowly and deeply every two days than to give them a little each day.
